  1. got a netbook coming My way, this gave a great idea. Looking sweet.
  2. looks great, might try engraving Myself too now I see how cool it can turn out.
  3. OMG I got athlon still here...I am sooooo gonna try this !!!! LMAO
  4. all of the above. Also I always put the hardware in place to test fit everything and be 110% sure that what I envisioned will actually work out and is looking good.
  5. thanks every one for your input. Tested today with a CM 1300W Silent hybrid PSU and indeed it is the BIOS that is flipping. The test PSU had been in a similar system except that one has a FX8350. My probe did report those weird spikes again, so I had put My OCZ psu in the other system to be sure it was not the PSU...after 2 hours of benching it gave no voltage spikes. Problem solved !!! it is the Asus AI software that gives the weird readings and My PSU is 100% ok.
  6. Yeah also getting them when I run all hardware on default. I was using the probelt measure points on the mobo but now I am thinking I made a booboo there and picked the wrong points, I remeasured/ monitored and now the spikes only get registered in the software and not by the voltmeter. Will be trying another psu in a few days to be sure it is not my psu that is spiking .
  7. thx all, I am gonna loan a PSU to make sure it is not My PSU that is spiking and it is actually the BIOS that is giving false reports.
  8. yeah I did, used it on a old rig and monitored it for 2 hours without voltages spikes. so I am still thinking it is something on the CH5F that causes this.
  9. if you remove the HDD cage you might also think about placing the rad's on the right side panel on the outside but have your fittings facing inward. that way you can place whatever size rad you want/need. It is also easier then roomwise because the rads won't take up space inside the case and the tubing should be able to run more freely without kinks
  10. that looks awesome, I made Mine a little bigger but this sure makes Me think about getting another side panel and maybe go for a dual window.
  11. yay reading material for on the road. Now it is time for Me to get back to forums and remember that facebook is not always the place to get fast and helping info/answers
  12. awesome build and looking good. I think We all get some dodgy hardware at times but the etailers know how fast a bad product review goes around. Most will contact and switch the faulty hardware. Keep it , i like the looks
  13. it is not just the software that shows the spikes. When I use the probe belt/ voltmeter I see the same values shoot by on the display. The values are only so high for a max of 2 to 5 seconds.
  14. ok guys I got a question : Who else uses the CH5F on BIOS 1703 ? I am getting some weird readings in My probe II log, and I have been getting them for a long time and wondering if others also have the same issues. below you will see a log copy from probe II : [01/20/2013 at 07:18 pm] SB 49.751 Abnormal [01/20/2013 at 07:18 pm] SB 1.111 Normal [01/20/2013 at 07:49 pm] CPU/NB 49.700 Abnormal [01/20/2013 at 07:49 pm] CPU/NB 1.330 Normal [01/20/2013 at 08:03 pm] CPU/NB 1.474 Abnormal [01/20/2013 at 09:16 pm] SB 49.751 Abnormal [01/20/2013 at 09:17 pm] SB 1.111 Normal [01/20/2013 at 10:01 pm] CPU/NB 49.694 Abnormal [01/20/2013 at 10:01 pm] CPU/NB 1.330 Normal as you can see I have Voltages spikes but temp-wise it is all okay. Any one know why it spikes so high and what to do about it ? (System specs are : Mobo = Asus Crosshair 5 Formula AM3+ 990FX CPU = AMD Phenom x2 555 ( unlocked to X4 B55 @ 4.2GHz OC) RAM = Crucial BallistiX Tactical Tracer DDR3 1600MHZ 4*4 GB GPU = Asus GTX 660 DirectCU II Top OC PSU = OCZ 700W Modstream Pro )
  15. Hi am Ray, aka MasterChaos666 a Modder from the Netherlands. I am close to finishing My current build which is a work in progress for the past 3 years ( had to leave it aside for a few because of the costs going into it) nice giveaway and as for most modders I think I can say that everything won is always a nice boost
