  2. AMD released info for its new APU codenamed Kaveri at CES. The high end model, the A10-7850k, will feature 4 CPU cores, 8 GPU cores and integrated graphics equaling a Radeon HD 7750. Due to AMD's Heterogeneous System Architecture (HSA) the computing core will be able to utilize both the CPU and GPU cores for calculations and will have 100% sharing of system RAM. Further benchmarks when the APUs are released on January 14th will hopefully reveal how effective this new technology is.
