Did this for event serverdna 3 puchong, Malaysia. this is biggest gamer gathering for malaysian. would like to go for skull military theme with exposed on ssd and ram part. this could beauty if have m.2 heatsink. Unbox pic below the mosfet part covered with the heatsink. from design and laser cut those part needed.   2. Hello! I am back with a new casemod! It has been a while and that is because life has been very busy lately but I decided that it was time for a new one. I did also finish my last Bitfenix "Inspired by nature" mod and will be updating that one soon with the final pictures so make sure to check that out! This mod is made in cooperation with and for my girlfriend and since she is such a big fan of Zelda, we decided to dedicate this mod to that wonderful game. After playing Zelda BOTW we knew that a mod based on the graphics and designs that we saw in the game just had to happen. I think that it is visually just stunning but most important of all, the Sheikah designs are just wow. We wanted to capture these designs as good as possible in this casemod but also keep it nice and clean. Watercooling had to be added of course for the beauty of it and we wanted to use my 3d printer for some parts. So here you can find some pictures of the design and a small list of the hardware. For the hardware we do have some sponsors, which we are ever grateful! First we got an Intel Core i7-4790 from Steve at Supermicro, check out their gaming series products here. Second we got a very nice SSD from Crucial! And via my very good friend Tim Warning from Dutch Lion Customising we got a nice set of watercooling products from Alphacool. So a big thanks to all our sponsors because without them, this project would not have been possible! So here are the ideas for our design. That’s it for now, progress shots will follow very soon!
  3. I'll start off with some minor eye candy, my personal PC as it is today, and then describe a few ideas I have for the 900D case.   4. Hi every body, I present to you a small project i start a long time now... This project is based on a phanteks shift X anthracite , the idea is to associate two tendency " RGB and polished aluminium ". The goal for me is to realise a sober project with good cable management and add some aluminium plate to get a harmonious result. This two plates will be paint in black when the case will be totally finish. next is time of sanding and polishing with belgom alu i start to sanding with grain 80 because the metal got a special hard treatment before i start to got the natural aluminium. First step with grain 120 and the result was : " i go grain 80 or i order a ton of grain 120 " Finally we take the grain 80 , i use 5 disk by face of the case. Yes it s really better we try the polishing to test Résult : awesome lets go !!! First passage for polishing : second passage , third and others : Then we arrive to a correct result : " on way to polishing again " I decide to paint the top ot the case too , but before i polished all the line and paint all in black exept the top of the line, the result is perfect. J'en ai profiter pour faire la partie supérieur du boitier aussi , j'ai appliquer la même méthode ponçage + polissage puis j'ai peint en noir tout le reste en ne laissant que les lignes du haut. It s time for hardware, i mount a part of the configuration. to ensure all was of for the dimension. I m really impressed to imagine 1 to on this small things We test the cable from cablemod. this is the version pro with metal cablecomb, this cable are awesome, never hesitate to buy it. We add an awesome ekwb watercooling bloc specially realise for this motherboard. Same treatment for the VGA Meanwhile I am to contact by an old modder which work to phanteks and which participated in the development of this case which proposes me of sponsored certain products. A few weeks later I receive at my home Halos Lux Rgb Frame taken out a few months ago only in CES 2018, a pack RGB strips and a box has tools terribly effective and of a really good finish. we put it on the case Then I noticed that in the case there was a space side GPU which was rather ugly once the installed configuration, we saw many cable and not bad really ungraceful thing there. I thus began to realize an aluminum plate hide all this. I still feel myself for this plate of " raw or polite " metal. Then we passed in the tubing full house metal: (the first time for me and I made it found that very easy) The tubes of acrylic and those metal stands out in the same way in the end. I used one cuts tube which we find in the business for the plumbers. I have of to drill holes for the pump because even if there is one platesin this case which take care of my pump the configuration was not adapted has what I wanted to make. Voucher a the end of day, always the same bad problem in the finger but the result is really beautiful. I wonder I even to have ended him in the 1 day. I have to proceed to the paint of plates alu " alim mask and bottom of case " in black, to realize the cable management. The project is not crazy is there because I wanted him sober and simple, not by feignantise but because I want that it adapts itself for example has an environment of lounge quoted of a TV. There is all the same 70 working hours on this case, the polishing, the cutting and the folding of rooms to create for the case having taken me more than 70 % of my time.   7. The First Double Sided Mod Art QUADRAD Custom Case In The World / With Four Loop Four Radiator Four Rezervoir Hello there. Welcome to my new project. We designed a big extreme case. A case with a square look. 4 radiators, 4 pumps, 4 reservoirs in the system. I wanted to build a system with 4 loops. For this reason the name QUAD-RAD. Case design is mine. Thanks to arg-ist for hand labor .. This case can be used in different systems. The case would be made from scratch, not by modifying a standard case. After our first work, we decided to make a case in this view. Case Designed as square cross-section and 45 degree broken. The case is a plain-flap shape with the front and rear top panels on the wings. It is designed to bend 45 degrees towards the side covers. With this, the depth of the cradle, normally 18 cm, was removed by 30 cm. We started making a 1/1 carton to see what the case would be like. There are air grids on the wings. And on the outside there are reservoirs. In the form of 4 reservoirs in 4 corners.
  8. Inspiration This build was inspired by the new transformers movie The Last Knight and the design is based around a battle damaged Optimus Prime. I wanted to not only modify the case but the hardware as well, It will feature a Nvidia 10 series GPU, a new Intel Kaby lake CPU and z270 chipset. With all my builds I try to learn new techniques and challenge myself to do more as a Modder.

  11. Hello everyone! I hope everyone is excited for the MSI Pro Mod Season 3! It is an honor to be asked to judge this contest as well as contribute a demonstration build! I will be doing a black and white theme mod using a Thermaltake F51 Suppressor case designed around the MSI z170 Krait Gaming Motherboard. The name of my build is the Achromatic Serpent, meaning colorless snake. Thanks to all the sponsors for the contest! Without them this would not be possible! In addition to the contest sponsors, Primochill will be providing my build with modding materials and supplies like acrylic, cables, sleeve, and accessories! Let’s move on with the hardware for the build! We have some great components that I cannot wait to mod! A few big boxes of goodies! Here is the canvas I will be working with! The Thermaltake F51 Suppressor! Well follow that up with the center piece of the build, the MSI z170 Krait gaming motherboard! You can also see the processor installed, thanks to Intel, we have a Skylake i5-6600k processor! To go right along with the crisp black and white theme is the MSI GTX 970 Graphics Card! G. Skill hooked the build up with some new DDR4 Trident Z memory! This RAM looks slick! Moving on to the 850w Tough Power Modular PSU from Thermaltake! Some super sweet white LED Thermaltake Riing Fans. That wraps up the hardware intro, we also have some SSDs on the way and should be arriving soon. I already began work on the F51 case by breaking it down to bare metal and removing the guts. Now I am ready to start installing my custom acrylic interior to best show off the hardware installed. While I am working on the case I have the hardware installed on my test bench where I will be testing all the hardware before modding it. After drilling out the rivets and removing the interior I can begin my mod with the nice blank canvas! It won’t be blank for long though! This is where I left off for now, I am working out the final design ideas which I will share next update. I wanted to have the case gutted and ready to start the rebuild going into week 2.   13. Hanging in the Balance Hanging in the Balance was my entry into the 2014 Intel NUC case design competition. The design was inspired by a balancing clock that I've seen several woodworking friends make before. The main NUC case hangs from a cantilevered arm extending up from a base. The case is built from scratch by hand and by eye, using solid wood for the arms and base, and plywood with veneer for the main case itself. It has been done largely by hand tool work in traditional methods, and no fancy machinery. There were a few tweaks to the design as submitted, due to changes in the competition requirements post-submission. The case comes apart into 3 pieces for shipping, which required a little rework. That wasn’t mentioned in the original contest requirements, but once it was added I became weary of my design being shipped in one piece (let alone arriving that way :lol:). The Design: The Kit:
  14. Alright boys and girls, here's a quick one for you. This is great for the people in your life that love mushy stuff. Girl friends, wives, moms, sisters, that attractive coworker that thinks you're creepy. They'll love this crap. Odds are, if you're browsing around on the zoo, you've got an Intel stock cooler kicking around. Time to make a yard sculpture! Step 1: You'll need a rock, your coolers, and something for stems. Springs or metal rods work well. Step 2: Prepare rock for drilling. Hammer drill is the ticket, go with a hole as small as possible for your stem material. Step 3: Drill some holes. One for each stem is a good amount. Step 4: Stretch out your stems if you're doing springs. Clean up your stock coolers, get all the thermal paste off with rubbing alcohol. Drill holes in coolers for the stem. Here's another look at the cooler. You want to drill at an angle so the flower will be tilted up, just like the real thing! Step 5: Time to paint. Choose some cool colors. Glitter is always nice. You can do life-like patterns or some crazy Dr. Seuss stuff, it's up to you, you're an artist! (This is a great way to clean out the spray paint closet ^_^ ) Step 6: Put it all together. You'll have to wait for the paint to dry, over night works well if you cake the paint on like I do. You'll also need some 2-part epoxy, the quick 5 minute dry stuff is what I used. Get as much epoxy down into your rock base as possible and stick the stems in. I also coat the stem end that's going into the rock. After the stems have set, put the flower heads on. Step 7: Get ready for all sorts of love and affection, cause whoever you're giving this too is going to eat it up.

I've been doing a lot of testing lately – now for me a PC not only has to look good but it has to perform well (as a rule I normally build from the components out tailoring the case to the needs of the hardware); Haswell has always had a reputation of being a heat hound, I'm one of the lucky ones that possess a CPU in the form of my 4690K that doesn't do to badly in that department. With the concept of a future build in mind – this will be small form factor, overclocked, an energy efficient general purpose come gaming rig with some graphical cojones and a decent onboard audio capability (tall order I know and did I also mention I wanted it to run virtually silently?) - I set about reaching an overclock compromise between performance and an energy efficient voltage for my own needs. I decided I wanted my overclock to be a nice round 4.4GHz, only 4.4GHz you may ask - 4.4Ghz in my hands on experience offers the perfect balance between efficiency and performance, on paper it equates to a 25.9% boost over stock speeds. I achieved the overclock I wanted after some trial and error at 1.132V Now time to test it - For stress testing I use Intel BurnTest, BurnTest will stress both the overclock and memory far in excess of anything you or I will ever throw at a CPU. A sedate 30 loop pass at Standard level for openers. Followed by another 30 loop pass at Maximum. PASS Now 90 minutes of OCCT 4.4.1, I use the Large Data Set Test Mode to flush out the likelihood of errors under full load. PASS And finally to see how it performs - Very happy with that :D A final note, you may be looking at the temps throughout this thinking what's to shout about? Well when you consider I've used an air cooler utilizing the silent fan profile of the AsRock Z87M OC Formula and it runs silently – it becomes apparent why I'm so pleased ;)

Recently I had an i5 4690K dumped in my lap, to clarify I had a client change spec on me so at the time my thoughts were great I’ve been stiffed with yet another unwanted CPU… If you look around you’ll see the 4690K hasn’t had the best of reception from the tech media, if anything it’s kinda been left with the tag of the fat chick every stunner seems to come equipped with (the type that always says thank you in the morning). Undeterred by this I decided to have a wee play and see what was what - I set myself a goal of a 4.8GHz overclock, this was achieved with 1.302V A nice respectable CPCBS score was also achieved B) Time for some some OCCT love Temps are good IntelBurnTest Good timings Some CINEBENCH R15.0 Not bad And lastly some benches with my SC 780 for good measure So in summing up... I'll be keeping this one :D
  19. Greetings! So I have had a mac and pc side by side for the last 10+ years. My Dell decided to die again a few months ago, so i thought it was time to get new. I started shopping for a boxed PC and immediately noticed that the specs i need to do my Video, Audio, 3D and multimedia freelance stuff.. was way out of my budget. If i am dropping 3k+/- for a pc, i might as well get a mac and run bootcamp on it. So over the last few weeks, ive watched 100s of YT vids, dozens of blogs and review sites, to come up with what i need, and to stay under budget. This is what i went and bought last week from Microcenter, i wanted to stay under 1500 for hardware (i know OS and Virusware is another 150-200). The first thing everyone asks is if theres a theme. I decided to go with one of my favorite 8bit games, Double Dragon: Clean, Military-ish, RED/BLUE effects...etc... I assume some of you already know me, for the rest - My name is Desislav, I'm a 23 year old kid from Bulgaria with tons of love for custom built computers and 3D modeling! This is my first high-end PC for the past 7-8 years so you can imagine how overwhelming it all is! :D I just want to take a moment and say that this will not be a case mod, rather a build. It will be made around a PrimoChill WetBench, which in my humble opinion is one of the sexiest benches to hit the market!I mean come on.... Look at it!: I dubbed the project "Frostbite" since I plan to do a little "sanding" on the tubing to achieve a an effect as if the liquid was freezing the tubing. All of the blocks will be repainted in white to match. The sleeving and fittings will be white as well. I hope I can find the perfect match and do ruin it. Over-using white can lead to a disaster imo. Everything needs to be in balance! So, let's go over a couple of things! What's the idea behind the build? Create a build based on a test bench which looks as amazing as it performs.Learn proper overclocking of high-end components.Get comfortable with water cooling.Create a machine that gives amazing performance for 3D modeling, rendering and gaming at the same time. Why I'm doing this? Back in the day I saw Daniel Cannon's (Singularity Computers) Bitfenix Prodigy mod (Client Build 6) and it really got me interested why would anyone want to waste their money making their computer all fancy when you can invest only in performance... I fell in love that build and started doing my research, found a few groups and saw some pretty awesome projects unfold... and I really wanted to make one myself! I do a lot of 3D designs (will post my latest work in a section here, on the forums, later. People who know me, know how much effort I put into everything I do. The thing is, my current notebook (and main "rig") is not powerful enough anymore... It's a Dell XPS15z with a dual-core i5-2400m... I do a lot of 3D modeling and always try to visualize the stuff I want. Over the last few months I got good enough to make the models I want/need so I decided to go for it and render a model of what the bench will look like. So, without any further delays, I present to you Frostbite in it's almost finished form! (I still need to decide how tubing will be routed.) I might not be going 4-Way SLI since there is a little incompatibility issue with the sound card, but you can get a good idea of what it will look like. Moving on! I got a nice photo of all the hardware together (even though the boxes were already opened lol) Now, we can move on the unboxed photos! I couldn't help myself and just had to mount the CPU and cooler on the Rampage IV Extreme... I gotta say it looks daayumn sexy! Got to say... That heatsink is just MASSIVE! I actually had to remove my Vengeance's heatspreaders so I can fit them under it (with the fans mounted)! Anyone who's ever seen NB E-Loops knows how sexy they are... They are even sexier in real life and I got to say the sleeving on those is just... amazing. They come with two different sized extensions to fit all your length needs! The CM Silent Pro M2 is ... just a huge huge BEAST of a PSU! It's semi modular and those cables will be shrunk to like ~10cm to allow for extensions to be added. 120Amps on the 12v rail? Why not... :D You get a lot of options on what to connect here! 4pins, SATA power, 8+(6+2) pins... Amazing! The ROG Xonar Phoebus Solo is also a sexy looking card! I was mind blown by the sound difference I got from the second I first played something on it! For all you audiophiles out there, this is the way to go! Sorry about the quality on this one, seems like my hand moved and focused on the wrong part of the card... What do you guys think, paint it white? ;) Well... Now. I guess it's time for the most important part of my build. The one that tickles my white fetish. The crown jewel in my collection. The KFA2 GTX770 LTD OC "White edition" I'll let the pictures speak for themselves. That PCB though... Makes me drool by just looking at it! So this will be it for the first post.   21. Hello all, I am planning my first custom loop water-cooled build now and need some help before my head explodes. I love to game and will be doing some amateur video editing/ rendering. Here is what has transpired so far: 1. So when I received the case I was pretty unimpressed with the build quality, cheap lower panel magnets and most everything else so I returned it. I then settled on CaseLabs for my next case manufacturer. When thinking and thinking I decided to just go all out and learn to build a custom water-cooled loop as well. It is February now and I decided to sell the video card and PSU as I changed my mind on a couple of things. I sold the GPU because I either want a pair of reference 780 ti cards or maybe even the 780 ti Black Edition cards when they become available. I sold the PSU because I want a Corsair AX1200i for no other reason than I just do :) I still have the CPU and motherboard and am wondering if I ca make a better choice there too. Yes I am losing some money and it sucks but oh well. I am hoping to get some insight on choosing a X79 or Z87 chipset and what the cons/ benefits are. Also is the ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition just ridiculous and unnecessary? I can't make up my daayumn mind and I am going crazy. I just want a badass water-cooled loop in a CaseLabs case that I ca brag to myself about.

    This is a mod that is currently about 85% done. I am waiting on some vendors to ship me some last minute changes, but I would still like to share this with the Zoo. Basically this is my mod that I'm exiting the market with. Build something that I will not have to upgrade much in the future, and something that will be a pleasure of building, as it is my last. I love the simplistic style of Lian Li's so much. I have used LL all the way back to Citrus. This build is only possible due to someone commissioning me to build another of my Fire PC for them. Serene Teardown Mainly the existing cooling and some cables. the old fx 8150 and UD5. this already has a new home. messy modular cables. need to clean those up mmm some lian li brushed awesomeness CM excalibur fans. these actually push a nice amount of air. this is my TC 6870. cannot up the voltage so it stays right at 1000mhz core. around 8000ppd the empty chassis. the mobo will fit exactly right on that tray. i will be adding a new midplate and other metal touches. old modding at its finest. Holes cut for something i never finished.... Mobo should be here tomorrow is UPS doesnt screw up, and then i can get the case all ready.
  24. This is a slide show How to on Hand Crafted Fabrication. Some amazing things have been crafted using basic tools and techniques long before CNC mills were ever invented. I want to pass on what was taught to me so that it might help other modders that don't have access to a mill or just want to take on the challenge of making things with basic tools. I have great respect for those that have the ability to program a CNC Mill to craft computer parts, some people would have you think there is no skill in that and I totally disagree. Those are just different skills than I have. There is a great satisfaction in hand crafting pieces so enjoy!
  25. Guys, this is a work in process so please bare with me on this, it's geared towards Intel CPU's but is just as relevant to AMD also; thank you in advance. The principles of the less-used or commonly misunderstood Offset Mode for CPU overclocking or even underclocking. Intel and AMD program each processor with a stock voltage using a binary code (known as VID). This binary code is utilized by the motherboard voltage regulator module (VRM) to set the correct voltage for the processor at stock operating frequency. At stock, Intel’s power saving features such and SpeedStep, EIST and C-States are active. Under light loading conditions, SpeedStep reduces the CPU multiplier thus lowering the operating frequency. EIST dynamically lowers the VID while various C-States sends parts of the processor into low power or off state to help save power consumption. Increasing the processor’s operating frequency, you're going to need to increase VCore in order to facilitate higher switching frequencies of the processor core. The conventional method of doing this is simply to set voltage control to manual mode and type in the required voltage for stability at the selected operating frequency. However, the side effect of using this method is that the applied voltage code (VID) remains static under all loading conditions so we end up increasing power consumption and heat production under light loading conditions unnecessarily. The workaround for this is to use Offset Mode in BIOS to set the processor’s operating voltage; in order to do this you need to set CPU Voltage from Manual Mode to Offset Mode (Normal Mode with some motherboards).
