  1. PROJECT NEOTOXIC - Pink and White AMD-based Bitfenix Neos Build I've had my system for a while now. It's been pretty good so far in terms of performance and reliability, but it's always need something more. Right now, it's specs are: AMD Phenom II X4 945 125W ID-Cooling SE-913X* ASUS M5A78L-M LX V2 10GB Kingston DDR3L (1x8GB + 1x2GB) HIS Radeon HD 6950 1GB Bitfenix Neos White Window HP 110T Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer Antec Truepower New 650W As you can see, it's a decent, somewhat run-of-the-mill system. It's been able to handle everything I've thrown at it so far to a decent degree. However, I noticed that it's starting to stutter a bit in some games when there is a lot of blood involved. This isn't helped by the extremely dated CPU and GPU. I do have a solution to this problem though. I will be upgrading the system to the following specs (B=bought, N=Need to buy, all prices are in AUD): AMD FX-6300 (B, $30) Undecided CPU Cooler (got my eye on a Scythe Ninja Mini on eBay) MSI 970A SLI Krait Edition (B, $97) 18GB DDR3 (B, $60) (2x4GB+1x8GB+1x2GB) Undecided GPU (probably RX 460) Bitfenix Neos White Window (B, $69) 2x Undecided 120mm Case Fans Antec Truepower New 650W (B, $70) As you can see, the only parts that will be carried over are the PSU, Case and some of the RAM. I will also be making my own custom additions to the case: Clear Acrylic Side Panel Window PSU Shroud Pink and White Custom Sleeved PSU Cables Pink LED's Pink Front Mesh Here is the build in it's current state: And here is the motherboard: I also need some advice: The PSU shrould will be painted white, should I leave it blank or put a logo/design on it? If so, what logo and colour should it be?
  2. Hi Guys! Check out my new CoolerMaster Haf-XB Its been a project for the past year and I finally got around to finishing it! If I had have known it would end up here I'd have taken pictures when I started. I decided to leave the majority of the case black and paint the front face, panels and top. Its my first time painting a case and I'm headed to the store to see if I can find my next project on clearance tonight! The whole project was done with spray cans, though I really want to move to a compressor and paint gun! "Paint Booth" My first look at the black and pink together: (The case was at my parents, I only had the panels with me at the time) I at first was going to tape off the rivets at the screen, but I realized the rivets were little three piece plastic assemblies that were really easy to dissassemble, made life a whole lot easier. As for the front screen - just a few tabs to bend out of the way. And re-assembled:
  3. G'day All So this is one that I have been meaning to post for a while. I am hacking and customising a Bitfenix Shinobi for my lovely fiancé. this is going to be a Very Girly build with splashes of pink and an appearance of Tinkerbell. When I get home from work I will have me first update with pictures and all. I will have to apologise if the pictures are not 100% as they are taken off the iPhone. I kind of have a side motive as once I have finished this build I will get underway changing my 800D and turning it into my ROG beast. this is a working project and I will update it as soon as I have done more to it.
