  2. “The man in black fled across the desert and the gunslinger followed.” The opening line from The Gunslinger, the first book in Stephen Kings epic that follows the quest of Roland Deschain, the Gunslinger, for the Dark Tower. The Dark Tower series has to be my favorite, mixing western, sci-fi, apocalypse, magic, the current world, and quite a few characters from King's other books, and even King himself, into one big stew of a story. It's amazing. *Except for the lobster things. Da-da-chum. I hated Stephen King for a few days after that. If you've read the stories, you'll know. But with the new Dark Tower movie slated to come out next year and the stars of that movie tweeting things like: And even King telling us that this is the next time around... I haven't been this excited for a movie for a while. And with so much story to take from, I thought, this might be a great idea for a mod. Or even two... So let's get started on The Gunslinger.
  3. Hy to everyone this case was recovered fron trash, I've give it a new life!!! I know my mod may seem uninteresting, but the way I work is to recycle as much as possible by doing something nice, and very little money. Inspiration for me... odissey 2001 No side panels... dirty, smelly and ugly. I don't want any button any dvd drive, nothing on the case. cutting plexyglass. I want the economic fans but silent. The BLUE colored fan was supplied in coolermaster case but was removed before throwing it away in the garbage. always on line I found the wireless switch. Remote control swicth. Dissassembling the tower internal graphics, maybe not necessary but I like ... Home sweet home. assembly Aliexpress too. after a month there's the blue fans. recovering the blue LED switch from the old cooler master, recycle it ... for the blue LED on the front I only do this a small scratch in the painted part of the front panel. install its motherboard found along with the houses, asun with a quad-core processor 8 GB of RAM, enough for me. Installing wireless switch, easy Front blue led Thanks for watching..
  4. Hey everyone! My name is DJ Madrid a.k.a Kryptekmodz from Ph. This time i'll making a project called AURELIO, which means the "FIRST" Filipino Made Super Car. I picked this concept because I like the way they did and I love cars. (but i don't have a car) lol :D. And the modding theme will be Pinoy Pride. That means we are able to mod a Filipino brands or Made in the Philippines. So my co-competitor which these guys are the top case modder here in the Philippines, Tantricmodz (Mhike Samsin), JPModified (Jesse Palacio), Mickee Boy Lacerna (MadMods). so this time, I'll be presenting this concept at Cooler Master Battlemodz Invitational here in the Philippines. I give many thanks to Cooler Master for picking me for this time. I would like to thank all the sponsors, Cooler Master, MSI, G.Skill for supporting my projects now and before. Concept: You may find the full details of the AURELIO Super Car, just click the link. http://www.carmudi.com.ph/journal/aurelio-first-filipino-made-supercar/ And here are my components that i will be using for this project Processor: Intel i5 6600k Motherboard: MSI B150m Mortar Arctic GPU: MSI GTX 960 2G RAM: GSkill Trident Z 4x8GB (32GB) PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower DPS G 1200w Platinum SSD: G.Skill Phoenix FTL 240GB Fans: Thermaltake Riing White 12mm (4pcs) Case: Cooler Master Mastercase PRO 3 Water Cooling: Bitspower Water Cooling
  5. Will update with a banner here... I'm, baack! Miss me? (lol) This time I will be doing a mod on my Silencio 352 (MATX PC case) which was kindly provided by Cooler Master. My intention is to paint the case a blood like red color, maybe add some custom water cooling (pending), cut into panel for windows, add fan grills, power switches, bay covers, handles and custom feet. A tentative list will be shared below. Current PC hardware may be upgraded by the time this build/mod is done, will update here as I progress. In the meantime enjoy the naked hardware pics *grins* Tentative custom parts list: - PC Window Sheets 2-3 (smoked) - 5.25 Billet Bay Cover (black w/red screwed combo) - "Skull" Laser PC Fan Grill (black) 120 mm - "Flames" Laser PC Fan Grill (black) 120 mm - Mini Case Feet (black) (may use silver instead, unsure) - Black Billet Grooved Handles - Cone Spike Screws Qty to be determined - Military Fighter Pilot PC Switch - mnpctech Single GPU Support Bracket (depending on final GPU for build) Will include a final list of PC hardware here towards the end... Front Panel and Hard Drive Bays, Stock Front Panel will not be reused. Silencio 352 Case broken down. Factory case feet removed. Right side panel, left side panel may not be used.
  6. It's that time again, this PC build log will be towards my personal dedicated M-ITX gaming build which I affectionately call 'PurrBuntu'. It will be dual OS (Windows 10 and Ubuntu Gnome) hence the name. I would like to take the take to thank Cooler Master USA for providing the Elite 110 for this build. Please see the following link for hardware parts: https://pcpartpicker.com/user/NocturneKittie/saved/6qGFf7. For the mod I will be getting the following from MNPCTECH: Diamond Knurl PC Feet, BlackBlack Billet Grooved HandlesDIY PC Case Window Install KitCase will undergo a paint job, custom window and custom front panel. First set of pictures show PC case broken down: front panel, Top panel, case feet, PSU bracket and PCIe brackets have been taken off to prepare for cutting the paint.
  7. Does anyone have any clue what's up with the CoolerMaster HAF Stacker 935/945 case line? I've been looking everywhere for one but there's no pc stores like performance-pcs, newegg, or even the CoolerMaster store which even shows them as available (CoolerMaster only offers the 935 as refurbished). Did they cancel this case line? Anyone who knows what's going on with this case would be really appreciated, I was trying to start drawing up my build and really wanted to use this case for its awesome size and modifications ability. If not, anyone have a steel framed E-ATX case they recommend, trying to put at least (2) EK-coolstream XE 360's in it. Thanks guys.
  8. While I'm still working on my Breast Cancer Themed PC build I decided to start on yet another case mod. I blame Bill for this :P I have purchased attendee tickets for the very first PAX South event on Jan 2015 and noticed that there is an option to be notified for BYOC. I wanted the smallest yet functional case for travel purposes and CM had already provided me with an Elite 110. Since I support Breast Cancer Awareness and this case is not available in white I decided to mod it for this cause as well. Will be painting it white and even though the bottom feet are just for aesthetics I will be ordering some M-ITX case feet. I am aware the bottom is not functional since this case has a top mount PSU, this is just personal preference. Let the madness begin... Taking her apart... Starting with plastic before metal :P I donated my M-ITX mobo and R7 240 GPU so will get an MSI FM2/FM2+ M-ITX along with a MSI R9 270x. Yes, I will not be using built in graphics or getting an APU, will get Athlon CPU and use dedicated graphics. For storage I plan to get either two 480 GB SSDs (prices have decreased) or one 480 GB SSD with a 2.5" laptop HDD. Fans and CPU cooler are up to debate. Thinking about making changes to (one piece) top and side panel. Suggestions are welcome...

  10. The Coolermaster Elite 110 is tiny. If you're looking for an option to take up the least amount of space it may be worth your time to check it out. Dimensions on the little guy are 280 x 208 x 260 mm and support for up to 180mm PSU--though it will literally be sticking out the back--as well as a max length of 210mm for a GPU. Going to $40. 11. Hey guys whats up I'm Nick other wise known as Dirty South PC Mods. Going to be working on a build for my Gamer Girl that likes Spiders. First off I would like to thank my Sponsors. http://www.bsmods.com/ http://www.icemodz.com/ Thank you for your support :D Ok so lets get this build started. Ok here is our Motherboard an ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 1155. The heat sinks didn't really go with my overall theme so we are going to paint them Pink. First I taped the Contact Points of the Heatsinks. Then we shot them with Etching Primer And then with Krylon Floresent Pink. There we go much better. Here is a look at the UV color change effect. the Pink turns Bright Orange :D Used a double sided male coupler between the Phobya 400 Pump and the Primochill CTR Like so Prepping the Fans for there Pink Doom :P Since you can't use regular spray paint on Plastic We first used Krylon Fusion in white as a primer and will be shooting the Pink over that for all the Plastic parts. The Phobya 400 Pumps is going to get the same treatment. This is the case we will be using in our build. a CoolerMaster HAF 922..We are going to be cutting a full window, Trimming the 5.25" Drive cage down from 5 slots to 2, Removing the HDD cage. And paint the Motherboard Tray, whats left of the 5.25 Drive cage, I/O plate and front panel mesh Pink. Alright and I'm back and shes Naked!!!! Time to pop some Rivets Ok we removed the IO/Expansion slot plate, Motherboard Plate, HDD cage(went in the trash) and 5.25" drive cage Some White Primer on the IO/Expansion Plate First Coat of Primer on the Mobo plate Measuring up for the Side Panel Window cut. Always use an Awl or old screwdriver thats been stripped to mark your drill holes to keep your drill from walking We wanted rounded corners so we are going to use a drill for the corners Ok most use a Dremel or a Jigsaw. I prefer my 90,000 RPM air powered cut off wheel Same this was use to trim down the 5.25" drive bat from 5 to 2 slots Let The Pinking Begin Pops shooting the second coat of Pink Alright the first set of Icemodz cables are here Here is a Link to the Unboxing Video we did for them. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfUj9sFNxs0 Man thats a bright Pink. Alright so I ordered some Pink Di-noc and some Mirrored Pink Film for the CPU Block and the Lamptron FC-2 Fan Controller we will be using Here is the Water Block will be using for the CPU its an older OCZ Hydroflow from about 2009 Wrapped the Chrome Portion of the CPU Block in the Pink Mirrored Vinyl Got the Case riveted back together and the ASRock Z77 Board with our OCZ Block on there not too shaby!! Got a first Radiator Installed the XSPC 240mm Rad in the Front where the HDD cage Had formerly been. The Primochill 120 CTR UV Pink Res and Phobya pump in there Ok not to crazy about the Pink Mirrored Vinyl going to try the Pink Di-Noc And now for the Lamptron FC-2 There Optical DRive is receiving the same treatment And I don't like it going to tear it off and paint them to match the rest of the front panel There much better Found a cool Halloween decoration with Spiders on it and made it fit in the case. also just got the Primochill Advanced LRT Tubing UV Pink Wrapped the PSU in Pink Di-Noc to Match the CPU Got the BSMODS 5050 RGB LED Strip installed This thing is awesome I highly suggest going to the site and getting a set http://www.bsmods.com/Mod_Shop.php Also here is a short unboxing and demo video of the Product in action http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4yVHRXeiHE Ok we got her all tubed up going to be adding a second 240mm crossflow Rad to the top later Ok was thinking of sleeving these Front Panel Wires But I got a better Idea. I found some UV Pink 18g wire so I am going to change out all the FP wires to this wire Here is a look at the color change effect in the Black Light. Got the 120Gb Kingston SSD Mounted behind the Mobo plate. This is our Video Card EVGA GTX 550Ti. Going to be custom Painting it and the New Xigmatek PSU with a Spider Web Design Xigmatek 700 watt PSU I picked up from PPC's on clearance for $25 Got the New Icemodz Custom Cables and UV LED Lights in there check out his site he does awesome work. http://www.icemodz.com/ Also here is another video of the unboxing and Demo of the lights Outside as well as Inside the case. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fp4nYBbLdI0 Well thats it for now guys I'll install the Newly painted PSU when I get the second Rad, GPU Block and Flow Indicator in. 12. I'm working on a hardware review of the Gigabyte Z87X-UD4H Motherboard. I decided to do a build with it in the Enermax Coenus that I reviewed earlier. The Mobo has Red chipset coolers and the Case comes with a Red LED Fan. Plus, the OCZ Fatal1ty PSU has a Red LED fan. So, I figured Red & Black :^) Anyway, here's what it looks like so far: The pic doesnt have the 120mm Corsair (red ring fan) in the rear. Anyway, to make a short story long ........ I would like to paint a portion of the top of the CPU Cooler red. Are modern day spray bomb cans formulated to paint aluminum? Can I just tape the design area off, clean it, and spray it Red?

  14. Hello everyone, some of you maybe familiar with me and to this build. It's already done after a year. Finally! But I want to share to you some quick worklog for this build. So you'll have a better idea how I made the Dark Knight PC. I started last year when I got one of the first batch of the COSMOS II last October 2011 but actually started posting on January 2012. after that, I suddenly had the Idea to remove the handle bars to make it more sexier. and the Idea came out. (early photoshop concept art) after a while. The Dark Knight idea grew in me. another concept art 90 deg rotated motherboard concept art for the side panel and concept art for the rear panel later on as we progress we will see the actual result.
