Hello, New to the forum but found it while doing some searching to get a better idea about some small modifications to my current or possibly a case I might buy for a pc build. These aren't major mods...well maybe the window one but i've never really messed with alterning a case before so... First I was curiuos as far as my current case if anyone has ever added a window to this version of the Alienware Area 51 (P2?) Case. My original plan was to keep my current case and just rebuild/update the interals then it was suggested to get a "more modern" case. I like this case but the idea of a window like on some of the one's I've looked at might be cool. I fear I would just end up destroying it doing it myself if it's possible at all. This is the version I currently have. My second question on the case I was considering since the review's seem favorable and I already have many Razer peripherals is this NZXT H440 Razer Editon. I like the all black case itself without the color accents of the other versions the underglow effect not on the standard but my lighting scheme for all my other stuff is blue...I tend to favor it over green. I was curios as I don't know how everything is lit despite some searching if the green could be switched over to blue without much difficulty? Thanks! Still on the fence as I hadn't really intended to get a new case since my Alienware one has plenty of room but wondered about these things.
Hi all, I know its been awhile since I have been active on here, but to make up for it, I'm going to share my latest project. I have been working on this for the past few weeks and have finally gotten to the build phase of the project, which I will be sharing with you shortly. But for now, here is the initial concept and design. I wanted to do something simple and minimalist using some fun equipment that I had at my disposal, one of which was a 3D printer. So I decided to design a case using just 3D printed and laser cut acrylic parts. I am actually designing this for a friend of mine and he had a certain look he wanted to go for, he REALLY like the In-Win 904 case with that giant window on the side, so I did something similar, just out of 3D printed parts. Another feature I wanted to accomplish with this was a very clean looking motherboard tray with no visible holes for cable routing. To do this, all the parts are on standoffs and the wires will be routed behind their respective parts to the back panel. Currently the 3D printed parts are being printed and I should have them sometime next week, I will be ordering the laser cut parts as well next week. If anyone has any questions or comments, feel free to ask. Thanks for viewing!
Hey guys. I just stumbled across this site this evening. I can't believe I haven't come across it before. I'll have to post up my project I'm working on right now here. As part of my re-build, I've decided to get a couple of Latching Anti-Vandal switches to control some of the different lighting aspects inside my case. I just can't for the life of me figure it out. I have the illuminated ring come on OK, but when I hook the LED strips up to the switch, no matter how I have it they don't light up. Do I need to supply power to the NO / NC terminals as well? My switch has LED +, LED -, CO (common ground), NO, and NC. Any assistance you guys could provide would be greatly appreciated.
