[Cases] MSI coming out with barebones ITX build, Nightblade

Recommended Posts

MSI announced their Nightblade mITX bare-bones system, the Nightblade.  Included will be the mITX case, motherboard and 600W PSU with optional features such as CPU cooler, slim ODD, and more fans.  Looks to come with a rear 92mm fan and optional 120 on the side.  Can't help but compare this to EVGA's Hadron.

Pricing around $600 for the case bundle with a SteelSeries headset.  Rumors on availability in a week or two.

I like MSI's design better than the Hadron, it doesn't scream Prodigy knock-off even though it shares the mono-foot.

Agree 100% on the ODD.  Going with a USB option for the occasional use both cleans up the front of the case and opens up a little more room inside.

I was wondering why a steel case was selling for $600 for a moment. So this is their take on Alienware, then?

I like how they make the single "quiet" 4000rpm fan venting the entire case sound like a good thing.

@Confusis - I like my optical media to eject and roll under the table.
