What, you've never seen UHF ?

I thought it might be handy to have a vaguely up to date list of sites where people have picked up various items used in modding. (Zoo staff, I realize there is at least a small amount of potential conflict of interest here, delete post as you like ). The places below are ones that I _personally_ have purchased from and have had good experiences at. YMMV.

First, Duh : http://mnpctech.com or just click the link on the upper right of this page to take you to  happy fun time land. All kinds of awesome things to be had, from black M3 screws to modder's mesh to acrylic window kits to some envy inspiring custom billet aluminum piecesparts. Go there, buy stuff, the staff is awesome and friendly (seriously, my orders have a hand written thank you on the receipt), the products are great and USEFUL, and Bill Owen has steadfastly refused to give me any kind of discount for writing this ;)

Next, http://amazon.com, where you can buy ALL KINDS of things. Tools, metal plate, fasteners, computer parts...if for some reason you've never been, go. I invested in Amazon Prime a few years ago (which, along with all kinds of other cool benefits, offers free shipping with a 2 day delivery window for things that are 'prime'.) For me personally, the $79 or $99 a year (now) has paid for itself MANY times in shipping.

http://frozencpu.com Impressive selection, professional and friendly staff, water cooling gear galore (along with a fair amount of other goodies).

http://www.performance-pcs.com In the same vein, another impressive selection, I've only ever picked up water cooling supplies from them, fast shipping and professional & friendly.

https://www.dazmode.com/store/ Dazmode, home of the Darkside dimmable LEDs, various water cooling supplies, custom sleeved cabling, rads, and some pretty extensive videos on YT. No personal contact myself, but fast shipping of items I've picked up.

http://coastairbrush.com/ Located in Anaheim, CA, Dave and his staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and the only place I buy painting supplies. They carry pretty much every House of Kolor product, many MANY others, stencils, airbrushes, spray guns, metal flake, pearls...if it relates to Kustom painting, they have it, and they know how it works. (I had a product question one afternoon, didn't realize they were closed on Sunday, but I called anyway. The owner, Dave Monnig, answered the phone anyway, explaining that they had a workshop going, but what could he help with? He ended up spending nearly an hour on the phone with me, answering questions and giving advice on a specific process I was working on. When they've been backordered on something I need, they'll call and ASK me what I want to do, versus just sitting on the order. 'Hey Todd, it's Jen at Coast, we're 3 weeks out on the HOK Kosmic Krome Gold, do you want me to ship you what we have, and I'll push that out when it comes in, or want me to hold the order until it comes in?'. Top notch staff)

https://www.metalcraftindustries.net/index.aspx This one is kind of niche, but i buy aluminum signs in mill finish from them for my paintings. Decent prices, excellent shipping/wrapping so UPS doesn't destroy the panels. They took mill finish off of their color options for signs because customers were 'getting confused', but they'll do so if you contact their sales dept. Every painting I've sold in the last year has been on their sign blanks. (I've tried buying blanks on amazon, while the pricing is a little cheaper, the shipping was so utterly poor as to be a waste of money). If you're in the market for signage, worth looking into.

http://www.mcmaster.com/ <--- I've not purchased from these folks, but I'm told they have a fine selection of acrylic sheeting and PETG tubing, amongst a slew of other handy items.

I know I'm missing many MANY cool places to buy modding supplies, so please, share where you get your goods!

I don't think I see any issues with this one.

I might also add the obvious newegg.com and MicroCenter.com for computer parts (and heaven forbid what happens to your wallet when you live close enough to a MicroCenter to shop there...)

Also, http://pcmzd.com/tools-connectors.html is where I get all my crimp on pins/connectors for doing PSU work. Really good customer service, and quick turn around.

Awesome, thanks for the validation :)

While I'm on the supplies! topic, anyone have a source for u-channel that would fit 1/16th inch plate, with maybe a 1/4" or 1/8" leg ? I'm kind of looking at these guys : http://www.trimlok.com/prod/Rubber-Edge-Trim/Edge-Trims/All-Product-Categories_117/Rubber-Edge-Trim_48.aspx?categoryid=117%2c117%2c117%2c117&categoryid=117&ProductID=48 *ugly link is ugly*

Bill sells U-Channel at MNPCTech, but not sure exactly what the gap thickness is. Works well on case panels and such though.

Otherwise, McMaster also has a few different kinds as well. Only thing I don't like about McMaster is they don't tell you what shipping is until after they ship and charge you if you order online...

McMaster does have some stuff with wider gaps than Bill's.

Delvie's Plastics - Excellent source for acrylic

Ebay - Duh.  Good for the random stuff you can't find else where, like worn parts or antique bits.

Ax Man - Sorry rest of the world you don't have this great surplus store.  Tons of great stuff from tools to electronics to naked lady screw drivers...

DigiKey - TONS of electronics components, switches, plugs etc.
