APU OC on Gigabyte board.

Recommended Posts

So far its been fun. I have it at 3.5ghz on the processor and 650 or 700 on the gpu. The board is a ga-a55m-ds2. I'm using corsair 1866 vengance for ram. And the chip is an a8-3780k.

My problem is that it keeps defaulting to 1333 on the memory.

Any tips on tweaking my clock and getting the memory to stick?

If I used the auto settings for the ram it would default settings sometimes. I switched to some xms 1333 and it has oc to 1600 just fine. Currently I'm having power issues and I'm pretry sure its a bad 24 pin connector.

There's a thing here. Somehow it moved to the top of the page, but I didn't do it. No, really! But still, Cheaps is likely to blame...
