You cry after bumping too?  I knew a lady like that.  Wait, what?

You know what's really unfortunate?....  The bill still hasn't been settled between PPCs and the client for this project.  In fact I may have to delete and nuke this entire log, hahah.  Don't want to waste my own bandwidth on my site for a log that never gets completed!

"Typical of workstations, the Z420 doesn't make much of an impression from across the room.… No lights, no mesh filters, no fancy front-panel foofaraw." — From a product review by William Van Winkle at ComputerShopper.com, June 20, 2013

Word of the day > just seemed to fit this build.

LOL, FannBlade!

Cheaps: No way... it'd have to be crated it it was going to be shipped.  He'll apparently pick it up or the owner will drive it to him down south.  My part of this has long-been-finished.

I'm still debating whether to nuke this log as it's really really not an EEL kind of thing to begin with.  It's a hubristic waste of bandwidth too.

Hey, what's this?  An update to this...modest....project log?

Well...  a little background info.  The rig has been sitting fairly dormant this entire time due to the client being in out of country for a majority of a year, which explains why the bill wasn't settled (and for it's hostage situation).  None of my business, but that's the reason for delay in completion.

Unfortunately, this entire time has been rather harsh on the whole clear tubing and Ice Dragon combo...  Clear tubing was chosen by the client instead of my initial recommendation of using white, but I guess you live and you learn.  Unfortunately, I expected this to happen.  :/

Yeah, the tubing turned almost brown.  Duke @ PPCs actually accurately referred to it as having a root-beer float in the loop, which was rather acute in its colorful description.  I would drop a pic in here, but I have none.  And with good reason, haha.  Folks, don't use shit tubing.  Period.  Listen to the experts and heed their warnings, or you'll end up with a root-beer float in your loop too.

Anyways, I had to re-run white Primoflex Advanced LRT throughout the loops, which required complete breakdown of practically everything.  And I worked in some new QD3 Koolance fittings into the GPU loops per the client's request for easy upgrading.  And I did it in 2 days.

Here are a few pics I shot of things right after I completed everything and was leak-testing...  It's the last of the pics for this project (unless there are some kind of catastrophic leaks during the pending road-trip transit delivery, that is).

And about ready for final shutdown and packing...

Toodles, everyone!  I wish I could say this was a fun project, but I'd be lying.  I'm just glad it's completed.  Too much stress, and way too complicated.  I just want to move on and away from it, and I'm sure the boss does too.  Thankfully it wasn't one of my own projects, but then again I wouldn't have taken the job to begin with.

It was modest though.

This so far is beyond awesome and the case is that to not bad for a 900.00 case. For all the equipment included in the build did you refinance your  home in order to purchase all this greatness. Some of this stuff makes us computer nerds extremely jealous and also it is the stuff that dreams are made of.

Ah, You snuck an update in under the radar again. :D The quick connects make it look like a cow milking setup.

It's good we get our EEL back, though I bet you are sad about losing your $20,000 coaster.

Hahah, yeah Cheaps, it's finally all done!  And thank the heavens for that.  And that figure you mentioned?  I would double that...

I should state again -- this is NOT my personal rig -- I don't consider this a mod to be frank, and if this were my own personal project it would be barely recognizable.  This was for a client for PPCs, not E.E.L. Ambiense.  It was requested that I make a project log for it.

I did speak to the client over the phone the following morning after it was hand-delivered (not by me); client was ecstatic to say the least, so my work is finished.

This project is breathtaking... man you really shine in this whole log.

I heard about it in one of your podcast, the one whit the caselab guy; like a year and half. I see by that time the worklog and follow the updates... and daayumn!! this thing is way way... over any build/mod log i see it before.

The tubing and those reservoirs.... just amazing.

Great project man. Great job and masterful Execution.

There's a thing here. Somehow it moved to the top of the page, but I didn't do it. No, really! But still, Cheaps is likely to blame...
