Don't tempt me to snap a pic of Bloo's rat nest. I can totally see wires, guys. You fail. They are supposed to dive into a different dimension or something.

Gotta start somewhere!  Haha!

Nice Johan, that's got a nice clean sweep to it. I'll hopefully be able to have some pretty good pictures to share with Visible Contrast... going to have to do some good wire management on that one, with under 1/2" of space behind the motherboard tray

But with the server it was ok

Not much could be done on this one, but I tried to at least make them look good lol

This is how my PC is at the moment, Nowhere near as good as all of your's but it's the best I could do with a case that has no cable management holes or much space at the back. If anyone has any ideas on how to improve this mess I'm all ears. I really could do with a new case...

This is the result of how much I hated seeing cables sticking out of my drive cage into my case...

I wish Scythe still made the triple stacked 2.5in drive holder :(

Now this is my kind of thread. :)

ZEUS (log here, completed):

The back side is not utterly perfect, but I didn't feel like making custom USB

cables, and the SATA cables are as short as I could find them (15 cm, ~6"). I'm

still pretty happy with the result.

HELIOS (log here, still ongoing):

This was the first version of the 24 pin lacing, I have redone it by now in better fashion. But it's still pretty similar to how it looks now.

nice alpenwasser. Those darn front panel and SATA cables... I'm never brave enough to try shortening them lol

My most recent, and first attempt at the cable sewing thing...

Nice! I see the bug is spreading. :D

I think shortening USB cables is actually not that tricky from what I've heard,

you can even get custom ones from some modders (pexon IIRC, probably

others, too). But from what I've heard SATA cables can be rather fickle.

A few guys on OCN found a specific SATA cable with a peculiar connector

that can be taken apart without breaking it (it wasn't glued/molded directly

onto the cable, but relied on latches for being kept together). Quite a few

started having problems with the cables they'd modded, with drives dropping

out or just simply not being detected at all.

If anyone ever finds a reliable method for making good quality custom SATA

cables I would definitely be interested in that, and I don't think I would be the

only one. ;)

lol yeah in my case (heh, pun there) it's almost required... there's just shy of 1/2" for cables, and that's not a lot...

yeah, the USB cables wouldn't be too bad, but the USB 3.0 cables in my case use the other header, and the cables look like a SATA cable. Otherwise it wouldn't be too bad. I tried for a while to find guides to shortening SATA cables, and never really liked my chances, so I just buy the shortest I can find lol

WOW! two great options and execution. (my fingers hurt looking at these)

Nice job guys!

Haha, it was actually my patience rather than my fingers which took the

brunt of the attack (not that the fingers got away completely unscathed).

And thanks! :)
