The Fractal-Design Define R4 Filter Cartridge Pull the release tab, to remove the front filter cartridge. The Fractal-Design Define R4 comes with ONE factory 140mm cooling fan. Note: top of the filter cartridge is to the RIGHT. You need to add SIX new mounting holes, to fit 280 radiator. There is 4 raised plastic tabs, one each corner, that you will remove next. Using Cutting wheel on Rotary Tool to remover the four raised pegs. After removing the pegs, use Medium sandpaper to smooth the surface. Grab 140mm fan grill and RED Paint pen... Position the Filter Cartridge so it's release Tab is on right, as show in picture Position 140mm fan grill on right side, over the two center mounting holes... Mark the two mounting holes on right side with Paint Pen. Position 140mm grill 20mm to Left of the TWO center mounting holes for right side fan. For Left side... You will need to align the 140mm grill Your RED Paint markings should match the picture. Drill holes in the RED location with 3/16" size drill bit. Additional SIX holes are finished. Use Tin Snip or Metal Shear to remove the fan grills. Use small Hand File or Medium Sandpaper to smooth the edges, after removing the grills. Re-install the R4's Filter Cartridge. I'll be using TWO Fractal-Design 140mm cooling fans and Hardware Lab's Black Ice 280 Radiator and 8x M4 x 6mm radiator screws I'm using 8x M4 x 6mm Black socket head screws for attaching two 140mm fans to the Radiator http://www.mnpctech.com/M4_radiator_grill_screws.html Attach fans from the inside of their frames, as pictured. Two 140mm cooling fans attached to 280 radiator. Use #10 x 5/8 PC Cooling Fan screws to attach the fans and 280 radiator to the front Filter Cartridge.
